About the Role:

Join our dynamic team as we ensure patrons' safety and enhance their recreational experiences within our Parks & Recreation facilities. As a vital member of our unionized staff, you'll oversee a variety of engaging programs, from after-school sessions to exhilarating summer day camps and special events. Your role is not just about supervision; it's about fostering a sense of community, promoting wellness, and creating memorable moments for all who visit. The City is looking to fill both Summer or camp specific positions (Approx. May to September) AND to fill ongoing staff positions.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent high school diploma.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates are required.
  • While not required, previous experience working in camps, events, or general recreation programming is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of Management approved training and experience may be considered.

Additional Requirements: 

This position has been identified as Safety Sensitive and requires the completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen. There will also be a requirement to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check and Interventions Record Check.
