The City of Medicine Hat is committed to maintaining and enhancing our assets to ensure sustainable growth and prosperity. We are seeking an experienced Asset Program Manager to oversee our enterprise Asset Management Program. As our Asset Program Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of asset management programs across diverse portfolios. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, develop strategies, and oversee the lifecycle management of our assets. Your expertise and leadership will drive continuous improvement and maximize the value of our investments.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive asset management programs and policy.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise Asset Management strategies and governance framework.
  • Manage an integrated program for enterprise asset management, including annual reviews and program maturity monitoring.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess asset needs and priorities.
  • Prepare and submit presentations, reports, and recommendations for review and approval.
  • Coordinate an Asset Management Community of Practice.
  • Utilize enterprise systems for managing business processes and performance information.
  • Monitor overall asset performance and compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with departments to align asset management practices with organizational goals.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in asset management, business, municipal administration, or a relevant discipline.
  • Recognized qualification and training in asset management.
  • Seven (7) years of related experience, preferably in a municipal environment.
  • Project and Asset Management qualifications are desirable.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
