The Public Works Division is seeking a Utility Assistant Supervisor in the Storm & Wastewater Section to supervise, oversee, and participate in the work of crews carrying out installation, rehabilitation, repair, inspection, and testing of the Wastewater and Storm Water systems.

Requirements

Requirements include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; EOCP Level II Certification for Wastewater Collection; one year post-secondary Wastewater Technician certificate; four years’ direct Wastewater experience in a class 3 system; and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 

Qualified candidates will also have experience in project management including planning, budgeting, cost estimating and scheduling; courses relating to supervisory skills training; and proficiency in field-based GIS software.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week).

In addition to the interview process, testing will be conducted.

Salary & Benefits
