Candidates must possess a Masters Degree in Urban Planning, membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners, and a minimum of five (5) years management or supervisory experience in the planning field. Experience working for a municipality is an asset. The ideal candidate will also possess a demonstrated ability to be a strong leader of professionals, an effective communicator and motivator of people with the ability to develop and impart vision, direction and policy both internally in the division and to a broader audience in the public.
