G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre is recruiting an experienced Recreation Receptionist. The successful candidate will have considerable contact with the public involving program registration, answering telephone and counter inquiries, preferably within a Recreation environment. Additionally, they’ll have an eye for detail and a strong ability to multi-task. Reception staff are the first point of contact for this dynamic, busy centre. Working in a team, Receptionists are responsible for providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

Requirements include grade 12 or equivalent. Six continuous months experience within the past five (5) years working in a public facing reception counter environment with cash handling, including receiving and processing computerized registrations (or similar) experience in a fast-paced customer service environment; including three months’ experience within the past five (5) years of general office administrative work. Preference may be given to those with a Recreation Centre background.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with computerized registration management system. Preference may be given to those with recreation registration software experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change). This position will have a base of 14 hours per week, and the candidate should have the ability to increase those hours as needed. Salary & Benefits
