- Reviewing and responding to interdepartmental circulars such as zoning changes, subdivisions, right-of-way closures, sales and leases of City properties, and utility rights-of-way and easement documents
- Reviewing and preparing of responses to engineering drawing submissions by consultants for private development projects
- Reviewing Asset Cost Forms submitted by consultants to assist in processing cost assessment related assignments
- Reviewing project files necessary in processing construction completion and acceptance certificates for approval/rejection
- Using and updating databases for project tracking purposes
- Using application programs for drainage facility design review and analysis
- Performing all works in accordance with Drainage Services Environmental Management System ISO14001

Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a two (2) year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
- A minimum of two years experience in drainage planning and design
- Knowledge of drainage construction is definitely an asset
- Recognition as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) with ASET, or eligible to be recognized as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) with ASET
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Google applications including Gmail is required
- Must possess a valid Alberta Driver's License or operators licensing equivalent recognized by the Operator Licensing and Vehicle Control Regulation, Alta. Reg. 320/2002

Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program
Salary Range: 21M, Salary Grade: 019, $32.370 - $40.687 (Hourly), $57,027.85 - $71,680.32 (Annually). Opportunity Concept Salary Range: 21A, Salary Grade: 014, $24.734 - $29.694 (Hourly), $43,575.12 - $52,313.40 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton. This union contract is currently under negotiation.
