Taking place in London, Ontario on February 9, 2015, in advance the FCM Sustainable Communities Conference, the CaGBC Green Cities Workshop will explore both the EcoDistricts framework and examine how LEED complements municipal sustainability policy.

Morning session: Explore the EcoDistricts framework
8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Learn about the EcoDistricts framework, a research-driven tool for cultivating public-private-civic partnerships and creating innovative district-scale projects. This session will include a practical element where delegates will apply the framework in a project-based mock planning and strategy session.

Networking Lunch – 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Afternoon session: LEED Expert Panel Discussion

1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Learn how LEED ties into municipal sustainability objectives, with an examination of LEED policies and applications, as well as updates on LEED v4. Participants will learn from a panel of experts who are able to share first-hand lessons learned from cities that have successfully implemented LEED policies.
