The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the operational activities within North Operations; preparing operating budgets and ensuring budgeted programs and objectives or effectively implemented; coordinating projects including the management of park renovation projects; overseeing parks programs and volunteer community participants and evaluating the City’s park systems; developing policies; resolving complaints from the public and others; hiring, promotion and discipline of employees; reviewing and managing employee performance and providing employee training; participates on City committees.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in the philosophy and practice of community development and have strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Considerable experience in supervision, employee relations, fiscal management and park operations is essential for success in this role. You will bring a strong understanding of park operations and community partnerships and you will actively demonstrate your ability to successfully resolve problems and conflicts that arise daily as the Park Operations North Manager.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in resource management or a related field with 7 years of progressive related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
By-weekly wage plus full benefits.
