Description
This webinar will provide guidance concerning traffic monitoring program delivery in Canadian provinces and municipalities. It will address planning, design and traffic data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Traffic monitoring practices for both motorized and non-motorized modes will also be presented.

Presenter

Dr. Jonathan Regehr, P. Eng., Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering, University of Manitoba, and Founding Partner, MORR Transportation Consulting
Dr. Regehr has conducted research and has led projects for federal, provincial, and municipal agencies involving traffic information systems, freight transportation systems, railway engineering, traffic engineering, and transport regulation. This expert in traffic monitoring recently orchestrated the development of the first Canadian guidance for traffic monitoring practitioners. Dr. Regehr is co-chair of the Transportation Research Board’s Highway Traffic Monitoring Committee and a board member of the International Society for Weigh-in-Motion. He has served as an expert panelist for the U.S. Traffic Monitoring Guide Update. As Director of the Manitoba Highway Traffic Information System, a partnership between Manitoba Infrastructure and the University of Manitoba, Dr. Regehr oversees the production of traffic statistics for Manitoba’s highway network.
