We have an exciting opportunity in the Information and Technology Management Department for an experienced and motivated individual

SENIOR MANAGER, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) OPERATIONS
(FILE 13-1428-MBX)

Responsible for: Researching, developing, implementing and managing processes, procedures and methods necessary for effective technical and operational support for the City of Vaughan and Vaughan Public Libraries technology infrastructure, including local area networks, wide area networks, network servers, data servers, applications servers, communications devices, workstations and cabling. Managing, coaching, and developing technical and specialised staff resources. Developing and implementing Information Technology strategies, business and financial plans.

 

Requirements

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Public/Business Administration or suitable equivalent
• Professional certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) in good standing
• 8 years' experience in the field of Information Management or Technology Management, including a minimum of 5 years' IM/IT management experience
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of enterprise applications architectures, systems development methodologies and latest development tools
• Knowledge of IT industry trends and application of software, hardware and communications solutions
