As the Functional Application Analyst 2, you will be the primary source of contact, responding to, investigating, prioritizing and resolving integrated administrative, technical, or operating problems within the functional end user base using standard methodologies and procedures. You will also act as a liaison with IT for all system issues raised by the functional users that require IT involvement. You will manage the resolution of all issues, provide ongoing support and training to all end users and management staff through training programs, one on one consultations, systems or procedural advice etc. In addition, the successful candidate will lead report development with advanced excel skills and prepare the year end and other working papers, coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and meet statutory reporting requirements.
As the successful candidate, you will have a solid understanding of financial business processes, be detail oriented and complement that with a technical aptitude.
The successful candidate will have a professional Accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA), plus 3 years of directly related and relevant experience, preferably in a municipal setting. The primary financial applications at the City are Agresso Business World and Computron.
