Queensborough Community Centre is looking for a dynamic piano and voice instructor to join our team and help develop our performing arts program. You will design and implement participatory classes for individuals ranging in ages from school aged children to older adults that stimulate an appreciation of music and creative play. Some specific duties will include developing curriculum, building relationships with community members, working within the recreation staff team and upholding the high quality and professionalism of Parks and Recreation within the City of New Westminster.
- Completion of a post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent in music or the performing arts.
- Minimum 3 years of previous teaching experience.
- Considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and objectives of contemporary music and art education in cultural and community recreation facilities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to successfully pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check.

SALARY: $32.43/hour + 12% in lieu of benefits
*Please note that the hours of work are dependent on program registration and the successful candidate will have the ability to work Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 3:00 – 9:00pm.
