Reporting directly to the Recreation Coordinator, Operations, this role is responsible for maintaining the ice, Class "A" swimming pools, building, grounds, and equipment at various Town of Caledon Recreation facilities.
As a Facility Maintenance I employee, you will clean and maintain the facility, perform general carpentry and painting work, maintain the building grounds and maintain the exterior of the facility. In this position it will be required to maintain records and log books relating to the operation of refrigeration, pool filtration, HVAC and building equipment. As a customer service oriented member of the Recreation team, you will set-up meeting rooms for user functions and provide information to the public and user groups as required.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidates will have completed Grade 12 or have related experience as a skilled technician with knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. A minimum of 1 year related experience in arenas, pools and recreation centres is required along with Standard First Aid & CPR C certification with AED and Fall Arrest Training. Successful candidates will have basic knowledge of MS Office. A valid drivers license with no more than 3 demerit points is required.
Proof of qualifications and a clean vulnerable sector check will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
