Responsibilities of the position include:
- Develop and implement a communications strategy to promote City of Morden information and opportunities
- Write media releases, coordinate newsletter and advertising programs
- Prepare marketing/promotional strategies and materials to support Morden Tourism and Economic Development
- Research and apply for Federal and Provincial government funding programs
The preferred candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in relevant area of study i.e. Communications, Marketing, Commerce, Business, Political Science
- Experience in communications, marketing, advertising or public relations
- Demonstrated professionalism in oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of desk top publishing, graphic design, photo editing and website management software
- Proven planning, organizational and problem solving skills
- Valid Class 5 drivers license
Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience of the individual.
