Are you a creative, self-motivated individual with an interest in promoting Morden and its quality of life opportunities?   The City of Morden is seeking to fill this permanent role of Communications Coordinator.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy to promote City of Morden information and opportunities
  • Write media releases, coordinate newsletter and advertising programs
  • Prepare marketing/promotional strategies and materials to support Morden Tourism and Economic Development
  • Research and apply for Federal and Provincial government funding programs
Requirements

The preferred candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in relevant area of study i.e. Communications, Marketing, Commerce, Business, Political Science
  • Experience in communications, marketing, advertising or public relations
  • Demonstrated professionalism in oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of desk top publishing, graphic design, photo editing and website management software
  • Proven planning, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience of the individual.
