The City of Prince Albert invites applications for up to two (2) permanent positions of Waste Water Treatment Plant Relief Operator.
Reporting to the Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager, primary duties will include performing repair and maintenance work at the Waste Water Treatment Plant and act as relief for Waste Water Treatment Plant Operators and possibly the Water Treatment Plant Operators. The Relief Operator is next in line to fill Operator positions when they become vacant.
The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively with limited supervision in exercising sound independent judgment in making decisions and resolving work problems.
•Post-Secondary Diploma in a relevant science or engineering discipline (OR) current Class 2 Certification in Waste Water Treatment;
•Maintain an independent course of study (supported by the City) to achieve a Class 4 Water Treatment Plant Operator’s Certificate within 5 years;
•Grade 12 education; and
•Valid Driver's License
•Successful candidate will be required to obtain a Class 3 license with Air
Ranges from $25.93/hr to $28.89/hr depending on qualifications.
