We are seeking a charismatic leader who can draw from their diverse background to lead the Finance division into a future full of financial bliss. Your ability to formulate the right balance between professionalism and enjoyment in the workplace will contribute to the Town’s mission of “Doing it better, being innovative, and daring to be different.” We are dedicated to getting off the beaten path by exploring new ideas and ways of doing things; X + Y = Z isn’t how High River operates. Your leadership abilities will be demonstrated through your ability to create a culture that is financially mindful, inclusive and allows for other’s input.
You will be given the responsibility to strategically utilize your experience and expertise to act as the key financial advisor and Chief Financial Officer for the Town, Council, Committees, and outside agencies. You will use your extensive experience in a municipal or related government environment to establish financial policies and procedures that are in accordance with Municipal Government Act and other applicable legislation to ensure the financial health and well-being of our municipality. Securing a future of financial stability for our community is of utmost importance.
The right candidate will be a part of the movement of creating a High River who does things better by strategically applying your extensive training, education, and experience in leadership and current financial practices.
