We are hiring a Business Development Lead … could that be you?

This is a critical role for us at Diamond role as you get to focus on New Client Sales.  The revenue generated from sales allows us to continue to hire awesome people and develop and enhance our value-added products and technology resources to make our clients working lives easier! You’re not put off by that pressure, instead you see it as an amazing opportunity to make a difference and have a big impact at a smaller company.   You can choose to work from our office in Cambridge, ON or our office in Kelowna BC, or from your home in anywhere Canada!!

So What Will a Business Development Lead at Diamond be doing?

New Client Sales

Generating new client sales allows us to work on fun projects with great clients and great team mates and also ensures that we maintain a steady pipeline of client opportunities that turn into sales.  It’s also a great way to get out in the industry and get to know our clients in the municipal sector and find those soon to be clients that will love our solutions (they just don’t know it yet!)

Because you’re a natural at relationship building and are rock solid at identifying customer needs and mapping them back to the products & services that Diamond offers, you will excel at developing strategies using a consultative approach that enable clients to overcome obstacles and make buying decisions.  People just want to buy stuff from you!

Monitor, Measure, and Refine

Like our General Manager, you love your numbers so you’re always checking your targets to make sure you are meeting or exceeding them.  Your eyes light up when you add new opportunities to your pipeline or your lead generation efforts result in a win.  You get that we’re never done, we’re always looking to do what we do even better and use analytics to help identify where to focus our efforts.

Other Stuff

Because you’re an A player we know you are going to be committed to continuous improvement, learning as much as you can about our clients, our industry and our solutions, and make sure the teams back at the office know what our clients are saying and what they’re looking for from us and the products and services we offer and rally the team to make sure our clients have a consistent client experience with us.  You love being at trade shows or industry events because you get to meet with current clients and prospects.

Requirements

What We Need You to Come to the Table With

  • University degree or College diploma in business, marketing, accounting, computer science or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel to meet job requirements as our clients are all across Canada (25% - 30%).
  • 3+ years of related experience selling ERP solutions (preferably in a municipal government).
  • A proven “A Player” who consistently demonstrates initiative and creates a positive energy.
  • Must be a self-starter, proactive, and have outstanding communication skills
  • You have to be a Diamond – ambassador of our brand, our core values and our employee PACT
  • Willingness to develop a knowledge base of MS Dynamics GP and municipal best practices.
  • Municipal industry knowledge and network is a definite asset.
