STRATEGIC PLANNING BUSINESS ANALYST

(2 YEAR CONTRACT)

Responsible for:  Collaborating with the Director and Senior Manager on the successful implementation of key corporate initiatives. Such initiatives include Vaughan’s strategic plan, corporate performance measurement, corporate planning process, and other corporate priorities/initiatives.  The Business Analyst is a key resource in the achievement of departmental goals, working with all levels of management and staff in the organization and execution of the City’s strategic planning process.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or suitable equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the areas of strategic planning, business planning, corporate planning, and performance measurement
  • Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills supported by project management experience; team leadership and facilitation capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and execute projects utilizing sound project management principles, practices and theories
  • Ability to self-manage, with demonstrated effective interpersonal skills working independently and as part of a team
  • Effective organizational skills coupled with ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong and effective report writing skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate evening meetings, as required
