Engineering Coordinator - Renewal

$42.20 to 45.65 per hour

The Town of High River invites applications for a term position to provide project management support to the Town of High River Renewal Office. The incumbent will provide support to the Manager of Operations, as part of a team that will support reconstruction of damaged town infrastructure resulting from 2013 floods. This position requires broad knowledge and understanding of typical municipal operations in order to provide oversight and support to renewal projects including engineering, infrastructure, parks, community facilities as well as public service amenities.

The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include: project proposal creation, project management, providing technical assistance and technical advice on complex engineering projects, representing the Town of High River at meetings with contractors and stakeholders, collecting data and performing research and other related renewal and engineering duties. As a successful applicant, you demonstrate strategic approaches top problem solving, analytical thinking, and command excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

To prepare for this position, you have completed post-secondary education in Engineering with a P. Eng designation from APEGGA and four (4) years related experience or a Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) Diploma with six (6) years related experience or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification with six (6) years related experience.  Equivalent experience will be considered.

Municipal and/or parks planning experience would be considered an asset.
