The Surrey RCMP Detachment has an opportunity for regular full-time position of Systems Trainer. The Systems Trainer reports to the Support Services Training Manager and is responsible for the development and delivery of training and providing related support.
Typical duties include planning, designing, conducting and supervising training sessions. You would be required to research, prepare, update and maintain lesson plans and related course materials and documentation, as well as conduct needs assessment to determine training requirements. In addition, the successful candidate will develop and administer exams related to training and coordinate evaluation measures, provide information and feedback regarding training requirements and program availability, provide materials and support to coaches and mentors to assist in facilitation of training. The Systems Trainer would act as a resource person to staff and management as well as respond to internal and external inquiries related to the work.
Qualified applicants will have completion of grade 12 education supplemented by courses from a post-secondary institution in a related discipline. A combination of 5 years’ experience in a policing environment including the delivery of training and working with PRIME is required. You must also possess an accurate typing speed of 45wpm. This position requires completion of the relevant level of RCMP Security Clearance and a valid BC Drivers’ License.
