The successful candidate will possess post-secondary education in accounting, finance or a related field, with three years of related work experience in accounting preferably in the public sector/municipal organization. Knowledge of principles, practices and techniques related to accounting and finance, especially as it relates to the Municipal government Act, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Public sector Accounting Guidelines will be an asset. Excellent writing and editing skills along with high proficiency in relevant computer applications are required.
