Description
The Planning and Development Department has an opportunity for an IT professional to join our Business Improvement Team (BIT) for a 2 year term, which could lead to full time employment.  The BIT has a business process focus utilizing technology to enhance services and is embedded in the business.  It is responsible for leading enterprise solutions related to the city’s  Permits/Land Development applications tracking software – CSDC’s AMANDA product.  If you are someone who is agile, a team player, driven by “time-to-market” deliverables and  enjoy building solutions that make a difference, we encourage you to keep reading.

As an Application Developer:

  • You will use your ability to apply a high degree of focus and attention to the finest details, while maintaining a broader perspective, as you engage in critical development workbuilding solutions ;

  • You work exceptionally well in a team environment and have a natural inclination for collaboration;

  • You are a code linguist who will work with the AMANDA application and a relational data base development writing queries and reports.

Requirements

Preferred applicants being considered for this opportunity will have:

A Bachelor Degree or a Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution, plus a few years of related and relevant experience.  Previous experience working with a CRM system or the CSDC product would be an asset but, not a requirement.
