Description
The Business Applications Implementation Consultant provides implementation support for new and enhanced business applications to ensure successful client-side acceptance and improved business process realization.  The role is responsible for the development of support documentation, on-line self-help resources, and training to assist end users in fully engaging new business processes and the associated software applications.  The position works closely with the Business Analysts during the implementation phase of new projects as well as other sections across the department to assist with operational troubleshooting and general support.

Requirements

Understanding of business processes, user interface design, operating systems, software applications, computer hardware and network systems, achieved through a three year College diploma in Information Technology.

Advanced technical writing skills required to prepare support materials and reports.                                                  

Problem solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and determine steps necessary to achieve an effective solution.

Ability to communicate effectively to users with varying levels of computer understanding. Ability to translate complicated technical language into layperson terms for training purposes.

Ability to work effectively with constant interruptions; ability to work simultaneously on several projects independently and to use good judgment in determining priorities.

Experience

Five (5) years progressive experience in an information technology related field including at least three (3) years directly supporting complex end user implementation requirements.

Familiarity with adult learning strategies and experience developing and delivering technology-based training programs.

Project management experience.

Compensation Information

$66 231 - $78 504 per annum
