The City of St. Albert requires a Director of Capital Projects and Municipal Engineering to provide planning, organizing and overall direction to the Capital Projects and Municipal Engineering Department. Responsible for municipal engineering, capital project construction and management, transportation, and City infrastructure lifecycle programs.

 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering along with a Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation or a diploma in Civil Engineering along with a Professional Licensee (PL (Eng.) designation. Preference will be given to candidates with a Masters in Engineering and PMP certification.
• Ten (10) years experience in a municipal engineering setting with extensive experience in infrastructure management, personnel management and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
• Memberships in TAC, PMI, APWA, AWA is an asset.

Salary & Benefits

HOURS OF WORK
This position works 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and receives 1 Earned Day Off per month. There is a requirement for extra and evening hours.

 

COMPENSATION
$113,664 - $138,290 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a generous and comprehensive flexible benefit package.
