Specific responsibilities are the following:
- Work and collaborate with municipal officials to achieve objectives;
- Organize, attend and follow-up of Council sittings;
- Prepare, monitor and manage the municipal budget;
- Manage physical assets;
- See to the accounting: accounts payable, bank reconciliation, payroll, etc.
- Coordinate the management of municipal contracts;
- Manage financial assistance programs and accountabilities;
- Act as coordinator of the emergency action plan;
- Ensure the management of human resources, including recruitment activities, labor relations and evaluation of employee contribution, in collaboration with the union.
- During Municipal Elections, act as the Returning Officer.
- Responsible for the application of the access to information Act.
- Ensure communication between the Municipal Council and other Municipal Officials.
- University degree or a combination of education and experience;
- Have two to five years of relevant experience in municipal management;
- Be fluent in French and English;
- Know and use common software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Explorer);
- Knowledge of the PG Solutions software is an asset;
- Have a valid driver's license.
