The District of Saanich, located in the Greater Victoria area on Vancouver Island, encompasses a diverse and extensive park and trail system with more than 160 parks, 825 hectares of parkland, and 100 km of trails.  Saanich values its parks and the contribution they make to the quality of life for residents.

The Parks Division is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to work as a Park Planner / Designer to participate in the planning, design, and development of Saanich parks, trails and public spaces.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a University Degree in Landscape Architecture, Geography, Engineering, Architecture, or similar related field to planning; four years of directly related experience in park planning and design; eligibility for membership in the Canadian Institute of Planning and/or the B.C. Society of Landscape Architects; training or experience in research, statistical analysis, AutoCad programs, computer graphics and presentations; possession of a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence and a personal vehicle for use as and when required.

Salary & Benefits
