The PLC Programmer is a skilled position reporting directly to the Parent Link Centre Regional Supervisor.  The PLC Program Facilitator plans, develops and implements children’s programs and activities, provides parents with information on child development and provides support to all families using the High River & District Parent Link Centre. In addition the Facilitator will follow through with the facilitation of programs, and presentations in all areas of child development.

 

To prepare for this position, you have completed degree or diploma in Early Childhood development (level 3), (related or equivalent education will be considered) as well as three (3) years experience in the field of Early Childhood and are currently certified in Standard First Aid and Child CPR.

This position will require a current and valid Class 5 Driver’s License as well as access to a vehicle.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Development (Level 3). Other related or equivalent education may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the field of Early Childhood.
  • Experience in group facilitation and family support.
  • Triple P Positive Parenting Accreditation is an asset.
  • Must pass a Child Welfare Check, a Criminal Records Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Current certification in Standard First Aid and Child CPR.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lift and move twenty-five (25) lbs.
