FIMS CO-ORDINATOR
(Facility Infrastructure Management System Co-ordinator)
Temporary – 18 Months Approximately
Facilities and Transit Department
The successful applicant will be responsible for the administration and development/implementation of the Facility Infrastructure Management System (FIMS) providing technical, data management and analytical services to assist Facilities management with capital improvement programming and work planning to ensure compliance with asset maintenance requirements located at various municipal facilities.
Applicants must have (under review):
Education (degree/diploma/certifications)
- Three (3) year Community College Diploma in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management, or equivalent.
- SMT designation from BOMI, or equivalent.
- Class G Driver’s license in good standing.
- Certification as a Maintenance Management Professional by the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada is considered an asset.
- Training in Adult Education would be considered an asset.
Experience
- Three (3) years demonstrated experience in FIMS and work order management in a high-volume multi-facility environment including business analysis/process mapping experience.
- Strong understanding and experience with municipal facility and building systems design and operations.
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Excellent interpersonal, process mapping, project/time management, organizational, analytical, problem solving skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough working knowledge of asset management principles, quality assurance and maintenance management processes/systems, FIMS technology, technical records management, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and legislation/regulations related to municipal facility operations and TSSA certification/licensing/compliance and reporting requirements; knowledge of municipal facility operations and maintenance.
- Highly developed team skills and ability to foster and contribute to a positive, productive, service-excellence work environment; and to deal courteously and effectively with all contacts.
- Computer literacy utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, computerized facility management systems (Archibus/FM, CMMS ), and AutoCAD.
The 2014 pay range is $52,252 to $62,972/year ($28.71/hr to $34.60/hr), 35 hours per week. For full details regarding this position, please visit our website at www.barrie.ca.
