KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES:

Considerable knowledge of municipal engineering principles, practices and methods; thorough knowledge of wastewater treatment and collection, municipal policies, law and regulations applicable to the field of municipal wastewater effluent.

Must be a skilled communicator possessing keen interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated experience in supervision in a Union environment.

Self starter with motivational management expertise and the ability to build productive relations.

Ability to successfully manage change and participate as a team player.
- Thorough knowledge of equipment, facilities, materials, methods and procedures used in wastewater treatment and collection systems; thorough knowledge of pipe installation, connection and repair.
- Must possess and maintain a valid NS driver’s license
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS *Copy of Certificates/Licenses must be included with Application to be considered)

Degree in environmental, civil or chemical engineering.

Registered member of one of the twelve constituent associations of Engineers Canada.

Minimum of five years’ experience in wastewater treatment / municipal field.
