Description
The City of Surrey has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrician to perform skilled electrical trade tasks involving physical effort and active performance in a variety of maintenance and construction jobs within City buildings and facilities.

You would perform skilled electrical trades work in construction, alteration, maintenance and repair of City facilities and buildings including high and low voltage installations. The successful candidate would do lay outs, assembles, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, maintains, connects or test electrical fixtures and wiring for systems of communication, alarm, cooling, light, heat, emergency and power systems, in buildings or other structures.

Requirements

You must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and plans and assist in preparing estimates of costs, time, materials and equipment needed for electrical projects.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Completion of Grade 12 and an Electrical Trades Certification (TQ) with B Ticket and Class B FSR

  • Previous experience and training as a qualified trades Electrician.

  • You must have a valid B.C. Driver's license with safe driving history.

  • This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain the relevant level of RCMP security clearance.
