The Planning and Development Department has a variety of opportunities for IT professionals to join one of our teams responsible for leading enterprise solutions related to either Permits/Land Development, EDMS or Web Services.  If you are someone who is agile, a team player, driven by “time-to-market” deliverables  and solutions that provide ROI, with expectations of  challenge and opportunities for growth, we encourage you to keep reading.

As a Business Analyst:

  • You will use your excellent communication, facilitation and interviewing skills to interact with key stakeholders and connect the dots from user requirements to effective business solutions;
  • Your superb customer service skills will be invaluable as you build relations with stakeholders and maintain a high level of client satisfaction;
  • You are a self-starter and work well independently as you handle multiple projects with ambitious timelines;
  • Your foundational technical skills have been key to delivering effective business  solutions.

As an Application Developer:

  • You will use your ability to maintain a high degree of focus and attention to the finest details, while maintaining a broader perspective, as you engage in critical work in the implementation of solutions ;
  • You work exceptionally well in a team environment with a natural inclination for collaboration;
  • You are a code linguist and have experience with application or web development and can easily adapt to programming languages. Experience with PL-SQL, HTML, Java and/or other web development experience is an asset
Requirements

Preferred applicants being considered for these opportunities will have:

A Bachelor's Degree in an acceptable related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution, plus 2 years of related and relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and directly related and relevant work experience may be considered. Indicate in your cover letter, for which of the above opportunities you are applying.
