- Using your knowledge of Urban Design and Architecture you will attend the Advisory Design Panel and lend your expertise to a variety of developments including, but not limited to, town centre development, commercial and mixed use development, industrial and business parks, cultural districts, and large scale multifamily residential projects.

- Your excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship management skills will be critical as you engage with many stakeholders, including Developers, Architects, Consultants, internal staff, external organizations and agencies and the public.
- Your exceptional organizational skills will aid you in handling multiple design-related projects with ambitious timelines.
- Your urban design and architectural experience will greatly aid you in undertaking studies and developing policies/guidelines on design and other planning related issues.
- Familiarity with the municipal design review process and development applications is considered an asset.
Educational requirements include a degree in Architecture supplemented by relevant urban design courses or programs. You have at least five (5) years’ experience in the urban design profession after a Master’s Degree. Alternatively, you will have at least seven (7) years’ experience in the urban design profession after a Bachelor’s Degree. The preferred applicant is a registered architect or eligible for registration (Architect AIBC). Membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners is desirable.
