Duties:
- Supervise all full-time and part-time staff in Housekeeping and Laundry.
- Evaluate safe work practices in job performance reviews.
- Perform regular inspections of resident areas and rooms for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of duties.
- Maintain annual cleaning schedule of resident rooms, dining area, kitchen and offices.
- Prepare staff schedules, assignments, time sheets, vacation/statutory holiday schedules
- Schedule applicable staff training.
- Prepare annual budget and quarterly reports for Administrator review.
- Maintain supplies and materials inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Two-year Community College in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of housekeeping related work experience required.
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
- Knowledge of applicable federal/provincial laws and regulations for health care facilities.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and team building skills.
- Excellent oral and written skills in both official languages a definite asset.
- Long-term care experience is a definite asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Current and clear Criminal Background Check required.
